EAGLE ROCK BASSMASTERS Tournament RulesRevised: February 25, 2009
1. Any contestant, who displays poor sportsmanship, violates any rules, boating regulations, or Fish and Game regulations during a tournament WILL be disqualified.
1. Complaints or protests regarding any contestant must be submitted in writing to a tournament official within 30 minutes after weigh-in. Tournament officials must be informed of such pending action prior to or during weigh-in. 2. Decisions by tournament officials WILL BE FINAL in all matters.
1. Contestants may fill out applications and pay entry fees at the tournament site. When registering at the tournament site, cash or equivalent will be required. 2. Ooze-off positions will be determined by a draw. This draw will take place at the pre-tournament meeting preceding the tournament. 3. Weigh-in will be in the order of the draw.
1. Tournaments are open to all members of Eagle Rock Bassmasters, or guests of Eagle Rock Bassmasters, as long as one member is at least eighteen (18) years of age. A non-member may fish one (1) tournament as a guest of a member without joining Eagle Rock Bassmasters, and pay only the normal tournament fee. Anyone who is a member of another bass club, but is not a member of Eagle Rock Bassmasters must join the club prior to fishing any of the Eagle Rock Bassmasters tournaments. 2. All participants must hold a valid fishing license. 3. Boaters with children under eighteen (18) years or a wife DO NOT have to participate in drawings at a draw tournament, they can fish together. 4. Any person with any outstanding debts owed to Eagle Rock Bassmasters of any type, WILL NOT be able to participate in any tournament or club function of Eagle Rock Bassmasters of any kind, until indebtedness is paid in full.
1. Safe boating conduct and all safety precautions must be observed at all times. Unsafe operations will cause disqualification. 2. U.S. Coast Guard or state safety regulations and equipment must be complied with. Life jackets or vests must be worn and fully attached whenever the main motor is running. 3. All local, state and federal restrictions or requirements regarding boat size and/or horsepower rating must be complied with. Horsepower for tournament not to exceed boat manufactures rating. 4. In an emergency, mechanical breakdown, or when safety dictates, one or both anglers may take their catch and get into another participants boat to return to the official weigh-in area. They may NOT fish from the rescue boat.
1. Only artificial lures, pork type strips or baits scents may be used. 2. Only rod and reel outfits may be used. 3. A contestant may have any number of rods but may only fish with one rod at a time. 4. Trolling is not allowed with the main motor. 5. Each boat must be equipped with an aerated livewell or suitable substitute. 6. Nets are allowed as long as they are official “catch and release” nets or “fish friendly” nets.
1. All local restrictions, including low-lake areas and off-limit areas will be observed. Additional off-limit rules may be announced at the pre-tournament meeting. 2. All fishing must be done from the boat. 3. All contestants must leave and return to the weigh-in area by boat. 4. Boats may not be trailered from one fishing location to another during tournament hours. 5. Off-limits for all tournaments is Monday thru Friday prior to the tournament. Saturday pre-fishing is permissable if the tournament is on Sunday.

1. Fishing hours will be announced at the pre-tournament meeting. 2. Contestants must check-in and checkout at the official weigh-in area and be “off-plane” by the designated weigh-in time or will be considered late. 3. All boats will be checked by tournament officials prior to each day(s) of fishing. 4. Any team whose boat is not checked prior to fishing WILL be disqualified. (Unless you showed up late, you can still fish by reporting to any official for boat check.) 5. Each participant may weigh-in five (5) fish of twelve- (12) inches minimum length. Fish will be measured “mouth closed” on a golden rule. Catch-limits and length-limits may change to comply with state or local regulations. Any dead fish belong to the Department of Fish and Game.
1. Any contestant whose boat comes within reaching distance of another boat WILL be disqualified. 2. Any contestant beaching the boat or going on land during the tournament hours WILL be disqualified. (Except for emergencies or when using rest-room facilities.) 3. Any contestant suspected of cheating in any way WILL be disqualified, suspended from fishing two (2) tournaments and suspended from voting for two (2) club meetings. 4. A one (1) pound per minute penalty will be assessed against the contestants arriving within the weigh-in area late, up to ten (10) minutes. 5. Contestants arriving at the weigh-in area more than ten (10) minutes late will lose their total catch for the day. 6. An automatic disqualification for any short fish weighed in. 7. A four-(4) ounce penalty will be assessed for each fish not released or for each fish which is unable to swim away and survive. 8. Any fish that appears to have been dead prior to tournament hours will be removed from the catch and the contestant disqualified. 9. Culling at the weigh-in area is prohibited and WILL result in disqualification. 10. If the contestants catch exceeds the catch-limit allowable for that tournament, the contestant WILL be disqualified. 11. Failure to fill out the Department of Fish and Game angler score card survey and return the card to the weigh-master WILL result in disqualification. 12. If there is a tie with the total lbs. caught in a tournament, the tiebreaker will be: 1) total # of fish, 2) big fish, 3) flip a coin.
1. Officials may be on the lake during the contest and may observe and approach any contestant. They may inspect and contestants’ boat at any time during the tournament.
1. Damage of any nature to a contestants’ boat, equipment, or fishing tackle is the sole responsibility of the contestant.
1. The contestants’ may use their own boat and motor, and/or may rent them at the tournament site. Such possible rental is the sole responsibility of the contestant.
1. All entry fees, payouts and prizes will be designated prior to each tournament. All tournaments or functions will have the same fees assessed.
1. Refunds of entry fees and/or options will be at the discretion of the tournament officials prior to the tournament, however, no entry fee and/or options will be refunded after the start of the tournament.

2. Drawing for the starting position will be held at the pre-tournament meeting the morning of the tournament. Contestants entering the tournament after the meeting will be placed at the bottom of the starting position roster by order of entry.
