EAGLE ROCK BASSMASTERS CODE OF CONDUCT

The following Code of Conduct is to be followed by all members of Eagle Rock Bassmasters (club) while participating in any club function/activity, or at any time their conduct or behavior would reflect directly on the club.

All club members should conduct themselves at all times in such a manner as to reflect credit on the sport of Bass fishing and Eagle Rock Bassmasters in particular. Always be positive and promote the objectives of the club at all times.

All club members must display good sportsmanship, be courteous and support fellow members at all times; this includes weigh-ins and award ceremonies.

All club members are to promote full adherence to conservation ethics and codes.

All club members must not make false statements, spread rumors or innuendo, or deliberately misrepresent fellow club members in private or public with or without the intent of damaging their reputations or private lives.

Physical abuse of any person, or conduct intended to threaten imminent bodily harm or to endanger the health or safety of any person.

All club members shall practice moderation in the consumption of alcoholic beverages during all club functions/activities.

No illegal drug use.

All club members are asked to refrain from using profane or vulgar language at all club functions/activities.

All members are encouraged to support the educational aspect of the club. Teach and encourage those that are learning or struggling.

Club members must not misuse this Code of Conduct for false accusations of misconduct.

A club member must, if he/she becomes aware of any conduct by another member which he/she reasonably believes involves a failure to comply with the Club’s Code of Conduct, make a written allegation to that effect to the President or Vice President as soon as it is practicable for him/her to do so.

The President or Vice President shall then call a Board of Directors meeting for review. The board will have the final decision as to the validity of any reported violation. Any club member deemed in violation of this Code of Conduct may be disciplined as follows:

1. Probation for 2 months for the first offense.
2. Suspension from the Club for 2 months and two months probation.
3. Expulsion from the Club for one year.

Any additional violation(s) of the Club’s Code of Conduct while severing any one of the three disciplinary actions above can lead to immediate expulsion from the club.
