Eagle Rock Bassmasters
Febuary 2007 Newsletter
We had a pretty good attendance this month. Good thing, ‘cause dues were due and there was plenty discussed and motions made and voted on. Thanks to everyone that showed up! If you feel left out ‘cause you didn’t have a say in club matters, I encourage you to make it to the meetings!
The minutes from the January meeting were not read because we didn’t have any to read.
In Attendance: Warren & Dixie Ross, Brad Gardner, Corey & Cristina Mitchell, Josh Unruh, Tracey Mitchell, Jeff & Jeffrey Gibson, Jeff & Charma Cooke, Brant & Trina Davis
Treasurer: Warren was behind on getting deposits made, but figured the club was $150.00 positive just from the banquet raffle. He said the Money Market is doing well and earning interest with a balance of over $6000. He’ll deposit the dues collected from the January meeting and give a more accurate account at the next meeting.
Tournament: The dates are set for this year’s tournament schedule. Jeff C. will call to see if there is a conflict with a federation tournament. Motions were made and unanimously (we miss Max Adams!) voted on to finalize this year’s tournament schedule.
Federation: The club was asked to think about which 6 members will sign up for the Federation. Will make a decision at a later date.
Old Business: Dues are (were) due! Jeff C. said he will update the website. Brad Gardner was presented with a plaque for ERBM record Big Fish. Congratulations, Brad!
New Business: Josh asked if the club would be willing to hold 2 Casting for Kids events this year, one in Idaho Falls and one in Pocatello. There were motions and a unanimous vote to table a vote until dates for both events are in hand. Think about it and bring your answers to the next meeting!
A big THANK YOU! to Josh for all his hard work in putting together a ERBM Tournament Archive!
Attention all fishermen! ERBM’s OPEN is only 2 months away! It will be held April 28th at Milner. Motions were made and unanimously voted on for Jeff C., Charma and Corey to put together and approve a flyer. Josh will post fliers in Boise. Jeff C. will post in Twin Falls. Corey has volunteered to take care of the awards. There was talk of limiting the entry to 50 boats. Motions were made and unanimously voted on for this year’s OPEN to mirror last year’s event with the exception of having 2 payouts for Big Fish (60/40).
Secretary’s Notes: If you don’t like the decisions made, make sure you attend club meetings! Also, my apologies for another late newsletter. I will strive to improve with fewer excuses!
